One late night, as I was thinking about my career as it was progressing nicely, I sat down and wrote a quick personal note to myself. Recently, as I was saving a file, I came across this and wanted to share it on this site.
I am in sales because I have a passion for accomplishment
and reaching goals. Businesses operate
by generating money and to obtain money, sales must occur. A sales professional is the key to bring in
the money. Our job is to sell and
provide money. The goals set are
budgeted to meet the fore-casted goals.
Excuses are not accepted and solutions are needed to survive in this
tough yet exciting profession.
As a salesperson, I hold myself accountable and push to meet
the goals set out in front of me. The rewards
I receive comes in the form of power, money, success and the feeling of
accomplishment. This is an industry
where I can provide for my family, my loved ones, myself. When people say, “life is tough”, being in
sales has given me that realization when I became a sales leader and saw the
ones that struggle with this industry.
It is not for the weak.
It for the person who has confidence in their abilities and through skill and experience, they will excel and be rewarded kindly.
